Catch Me I’m Falling

Colleen Briske Ferguson

Can I count on you? Today? Tomorrow? When the “chips” are down? When my heart is broken? When I’m lying on the floor crushed by life? Can I count on you?

Will the suspenders between us be strong enough? Are the suspenders dark and thin or strong and full of rainbows and joy? Have we bared our souls enough in good times, to sustain each other in bad times?

Will I ask for help? Will I let go of pride? CAN I let go of pride and ask? Help me let go. Are you ready to hold out your hand in an offering of love?

Help me. I need your help.

For those who know me, I am fine. I’m just doing my writing thing. Placing myself in past times or future times or times others are going through at this very minute. This time of year can be tough on some people (S.A.D.), the end of winter, etc. or just life in general. Keep an eye out for those who are falling – and be ready to catch them, to give them some joy, some time. I hope I am astute enough to do so and am ready and able to be a caring, upbeat Tigger to someone's time as Eeyore or worse.
