Sparkles on Lakes – or Clothes on People?

Do you love sparkles on lakes, rainbows on bubbles, the rustle of leaves on a tree… Did you know the absence of all color is white and the presence of all color is black? Does it make you like black more? {TANGENT ALERT!!!} Not all of us can wear black without looking washed out. There is a color scheme that has been going around for some years where, depending on your skin tone, you were given a season and a list of the colors that would bring out your best. This is how I was shown it: winter is the original colors of the spectrum, autumn is browns, greens, oranges, etc. (usually red heads), spring (or was it summer?) was pastels, and I don’t remember the fourth. More specifically, and in the 2025 version, winter is cool, dark colors, summer is also cool but the light versions of a color. Spring is warm and light and Autumn is warm and dark. What does this all mean? {TANGENT OVER!!!} Beats me. I just wear what I like or have in my closet, and now I am asking myself – how did I get on this tangent? Was I going to talk about the beauty of science today? Or the beauty of our planet? I will share an episode with my mom and her aunt. While driving one evening, the sunset was exploding over the skies and my mom was raving over it. Her aunt was floored. She had never taken the time to look at the beauty of the world around us (and she was a teacher!). My mom changed her outlook and her life that day. Whatever topic it was that I started out with, I'll end it with let's take time to smell roses, watch sunsets, and soak in the beauty we've been given. Take the beauty of this life and put it in your soul before you get out of bed every morning. The rest of the day might just be worth living with joy. And wear whatever colors you want! (And rainbows on bubbles are awesome!)
