Suppose…

Suppose the earth flipped upside down. Would we be upside down, too? Are the people on the bottom of the globe upside down? (How amazing is this earth and its gravity?!) Suppose…your pets could talk. Would you listen to them? If you have a number of them, it might be a challenge to keep up with them.
Suppose there were no starfish in the ocean – or dolphins, or whales or coral or…? Would the oceans be bland and boring? Would we “see” them differently? Suppose…an ice age came tomorrow? Would most of us survive? Contrary to movies that have come out, it does not happen in day, so I think we can answer this question easily, but could everyone from the upper half of North America fit in the lower states (and that’s just the USA)? How would we manage it?
Suppose the universe is only for show; that it is just a moving picture and not real? What else isn't real? What else are we missing? According to neuroscientist (Stanford University) David Eagleman, (“The Brain: The Story of You”) we can only see 0.0035% of reality. Our eyes are only able to see the smallest fraction of the light that is present in our environment (are there angels around us we could see if our eyes were able?). Some sounds are too high or low to hear, some smells too faint to detect, and our sense of touch is limited by pressure and temperature. Oh, to know what we are missing!
There are so many things we can suppose, and that can be fun, but let's not get too far off the track from reality. When your world flips upside down, hang on for dear life. We don’t have to worry about an ice age just yet, or our pets conversing properly with us (although who knows…maybe one day in the future?). The universe is real. It is mind boggling; believe in it. But maybe we should focus on our personal universe instead. How healthy is our home or work life? What can we do to make it even better?
Suppose there were no flowers, or colors, or mountains or… We would have to make our own beauty. The best kind of beauty comes with love. Go out and love your people, then love strangers and hanger-on-ers. Love the quirky and traditional, the coward and the brave, the “good” and the “bad.” We all need love no matter who we are or where we’ve come from. Paint this world with your own brand of love and watch the colors explode.
Suppose everyone stopped fighting, dropped their agendas, and learned to love others... We might think we are in heaven.
