There are plenty of fun Halloween movies that are very entertaining and mildly scary, but do you like to watch the really scary movies? If you do, I bet you can’t wait until October comes around and all the scary movies are available on TV. Do you sit with your back to a corner, so no one can creep up behind you and scare the living daylights out of you when you are at the scariest part of the show? Do you jump when the nasty guy jumps onto the scene, even if you've seen it a dozen times? Does every noise in the house set your heart pounding? Why do some of us love that thrill of the scare?
Or do you hate scary movies? Do they disturb you? Do you have nightmares for days after watching one? If you are a visual person, then the gorier they are, the worse they are.
Some of them are fascinating and some actually have a good point in the end, but, although I’ve tried a few, I can’t watch them. Still, I can laugh when I remember one of my nieces telling me that when she and her cousin went to the theater to see the original Chainsaw Massacre, they laughed hysterically throughout the show because the graphics were so lame. I guess they love the horror genre.
{TANGENT ALERT!!!} Alfred Hitchcock used 2-D graphics for the first time in 1958 in his movie Vertigo. Wow. It's kind of remarkable this tech stuff has been around longer than me. I sure don’t remember any of it as a kid. {TANGENT OVER}
Happy Halloween, everyone! Enjoy the holiday, scary movies or not!
Cannot watch them. Your Dad loved them. When we would drive home (noTV those days) I would dread stopping at a stop sign afraid a zombie would get us mostly I kept my eyes shut..
